EMCEE
Meeghan Black is an Emmy-Award-winning broadcast journalist and communications specialist with nearly 30 years of experience hosting and anchoring daily TV programs. Meeghan has reported on everything from presidential visits and corporate mergers to natural and unnatural disasters. Meeghan has also found herself in many unpredictable and exciting situations as host of KING TV’s Evening Magazine and Gardening with Ciscoe.

KEYNOTE
Penny LeGate is an Emmy-Award-winning journalist who has held numerous broadcasting positions around the U.S. As an anchor, reporter and documentary producer, she was a regular presence in the Seattle TV and radio scene for decades. Penny now enjoys the life of a freelancer, filing stories from remote places such as Ethiopia, Uganda, India, Rwanda, Nepal, Vietnam and Bolivia. Penny keynotes events around the world, sharing her lessons from “the road” and encouraging others to use their capabilities to make the world a kinder place. Perhaps her greatest lesson to date, though, has been what she’s learned as the parent of a child who struggled with substance abuse.
